Please tell us about yourself.
I'm a sales assistant in the Medical & Ophthalmic Instruments Department. This will be my seventh year with the company. Every day, I do my best to be cheerful and energetic while being of service to our customers because I'm the first point of contact for the Medical & Ophthalmic Instruments department.
What kind of work are you typically responsible for?
I am responsible for shipping and arrangements for customer orders. I also schedule demonstration dates and equipment so that our customers can actually try our medical instruments. Our end users are primarily Ophthalmic Hospitals and Clinics, and I provide transaction support between dealers and our sales people.
What does "OYAKUDACHI (Valuable and useful service)" mean to you?
For me,"OYAKUDACHI(Valuable and useful service)" is about truly understanding the customer's situation so that we can respond in the best possible way.
OYAKUDACHI(Valuable and useful service) I think that "OYAKUDACHI (Valuable and useful service)" is about responding to each of our customers in the optimal way, based on truly understanding their situation and needs. Since we are a trading company, we always stand between the manufacturer and the customer. I always try my best to help both sides to build a strong relationship and always provide the best service to each.

In your daily work, is there anything that you find difficult?
Responding to complaints from customers was hard but things are much better now.
How do you respond in that situation?

We have a response manual now. And, based on my experience, I remember that "this customer will (for example) understand if we explain the reason clearly," so I've carefully explained the company's policies and organization in great detail.

After that, we re-examined our internal organization, increased the sales staff, and focused on improving our service. That customer continues to conduct business with us.

What's your personal goal and challenge?
I'm a sales assistant now but I want to be a fully qualified salesperson that has direct contact with customers. I would love to increase my opportunities to meet with customers outside the company.
