Please tell us about yourself.
I am salesperson in the Release Paper and Fine Chemicals Department and this will be my second year with the company. Previously, I was also a salesperson at a certain paper manufacturer. The products are different, of course, but I spend every day focused on how to increase sales of our company's products. "Quick Response" and "Be as good as one's word" are my mottos as a salesperson. I aspire to be a salesperson that is trusted by our customers for I am selling not only our company's products but myself as well.
What kind of work are you typically responsible for?

My job is promoting and selling WASA-ACE, an anti-mold agent made from
wasabi (Japanese horse radish), to customers in Japan and around the world. WASA-ACE is particularly noted as an anti-mold agent for leather. I respond to customers via telephone and email, of course, and visit them to gain their understanding firsthand of the quality of WASA-ACE. At times, I travel overseas to listen to the concerns of customers troubled by problems with mold and solve their problems.
What is the attraction of a sales job?
Any sales job naturally revolves around numbers. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you make your quota and particularly when a meeting with a new customer goes well.
Please tell use about the sales style for WASA-ACE.

WASA-ACE is a highly effective product of great value.
Awareness of the product is still low compared with its value, so it's necessary to actively sell the benefits of the product. Of course, if the customer doesn't have a problem with mold, you can promote as much as you like but the message "goes in one ear and out the other."
But you can't give up. Keep visiting the customer, provide information, and keep looking for an opportunity to be of service. Sometimes a customer will introduce you to a new customer as well.
Once I visited a shoe retailer's store to assess their needs for anti-mold agents, and in speaking with the store manager, I gathered information that was indispensable for new business development, including the purchasing channel for anti-mold agents, and the head of procurement at headquarters.
What does "OYAKUDACHI (Valuable and useful service)" mean to you?

When engaging in normal sales activity, I think it's about quickly identifying needs from communication with the customer, and then with good timing, proposing the products that fulfill their needs. As a salesperson, that's "OYAKUDACHI (Valuable and useful service)".
Please tell us about WASA-ACE.
WASA-ACE is a high-quality anti-mold agent. The dehumidifying type of anti-mold agent works only by absorbing moisture from the air – they lose their effectiveness when they can't absorb any more moisture. The active ingredient of WASA-ACE is wasabi, which has the power to suppress the activity of the molds themselves.
When you consider the full cost of mold damage, using WASA-ACE allows you to avoid the labor costs associated with removing mold and any damage to the products, thus making WASA-ACE an effective and low-cost solution.
Please give us a final comment.
Anyone who is troubled by mold should know that our customers who use WASA-ACE evaluate it highly and more than 90% are repeat customers.
If you have problems with mold, you should be using WASA-ACE.
